Asif Sandila greets participant navies of AMAN-13

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila on Wednesday visited different ships of foreign navies participating in the Multinational Exercise AMAN-13.

Upon his arrival, the Naval Chief was presented guard of honour by smartly turned out contingents of the respective ships. He met officers and men onboard and appreciated their participation in the multinational exercise.




The Naval Chief went onboard ships of Turkey, China, UAE, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UK, Australia, Bangladesh and Italy where he was briefed on the operational capabilities of the visiting navies.

Recording his statement in the visitors’ book, Sandila stated that AMAN would further strengthen ties among the participating navies and help devise a common strategy to curb the menace of terrorism at high seas.

During his visit to Chinese naval ship, Admiral Sandila said that “Pakistan and China enjoy long standing friendly ties”.


He hoped that cordial relations would be further consolidated and mutual cooperation in defence sector would also be enhanced in future between the participating countries.

Meanwhile, friendly matches of football, basketball and squash were also organized amongst the participating navies.
