Turkish Naval Chief calls on Pak Naval Chief

Turkish Naval Forces Commander Admiral Emin Murat Bilgel on Monday called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila at his office and both officers held detailed discussion on professional matters.

A comprehensive brief on PN’s Role in Regional Maritime Security Situation and Operational developments was also given to the visiting dignitary.
During his visit, the Turkish Admiral would also call on the President of Pakistan, CJCSC and Naval Admin Authorities at Lahore and Karachi

Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the Commander Turkish Naval Forces was received by Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy, clad in ceremonial dress, presented him the Guard of Honour. The visiting dignitary was then introduced to Principal Staff Officers (PSOs) at Naval Headquarters.

The Admiral Emin Murat BILGEL joined Turkish Navy in 1970. Besides commanding the Turkish Naval Forces, he has had the privilege to hold a number of Command and Staff appointments including Chief of General Plans, Commander of Northern Task Group, Commander Istanbul Strait Command, Commander of Naval Training & Education and Chief of Staff.

Prior to his appointment as Commander Naval Forces, he was serving as Commander Turkish Fleet.
The Admiral is a graduate of Naval War College and Armed Forces College.
